1. About our Website

Immigration Tools provides free, educational immigration planning tools for people interested in Canadian permanent residence and related pathways. Our offerings may include, without limitation:

  • CRS Score Calculator and Express Entry Eligibility Checker;
  • Provincial nominee program (PNP) calculators (including Ontario and British Columbia tools);
  • NOC Finder and Language CLB Converter;
  • Live and historical Express Entry draw results synced from public IRCC data;
  • Immigration articles, FAQs, and optional email or push notification subscriptions.

We may also offer commercial licensing of our tools to other website operators (“Tool Licensing”). Additional terms may apply to licensed deployments.

  • We are not Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC), a Canadian embassy, or any government body.

3. Tool accuracy and limitations

We strive to align our tools with official IRCC and provincial program rules as they are publicly published. However:

  • Results are estimates based on the information you enter and the rules programmed at the time of calculation;
  • Immigration policy changes frequently; there may be delays between official updates and updates to our tools;
  • Special cases, discretion, program caps, occupation lists, and document requirements may affect eligibility in ways a calculator cannot capture;
  • Draw cut-offs, invitation patterns, and provincial streams are unpredictable and past results do not guarantee future outcomes.

You are solely responsible for verifying your eligibility, scores, and strategy before acting. We disclaim liability for decisions made based on Website outputs.

4. Canada Abroad partnership

We collaborate with Canada Abroad (canadaabroad.com), an independent provider of Canadian immigration consulting services. Important points:

  • Canada Abroad is a separate company from Immigration Tools. Their consultants are not our employees unless explicitly stated.
  • Links, profiles, and service descriptions on our Website are provided for your convenience and may include referral tracking so we can measure interest from our audience.
  • Any consultation, file review, or application service you purchase from Canada Abroad is governed by their contracts, fees, refund policies, and professional obligations—not these Terms.
  • We do not guarantee the availability, pricing, quality, or outcome of Canada Abroad services. Complaints about consulting services should be directed to Canada Abroad and, where applicable, their regulatory body.
  • Tool content on our Website has benefited from immigration expertise in the community, including contributors associated with Canada Abroad; this does not mean Canada Abroad endorses every result our tools produce.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Website for any unlawful purpose or in violation of applicable Canadian or international law;
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems, other users’ data, or non-public areas;
  • Scrape, crawl, or harvest data from the Website at scale without our written permission (except standard search engine indexing);
  • Reverse engineer, copy, or resell our tools except as permitted under a valid Tool Licensing agreement;
  • Submit false, misleading, or harmful content in comments or contact forms;
  • Interfere with the Website’s operation, including introducing malware or excessive automated traffic;
  • Misrepresent your affiliation with us, IRCC, or Canada Abroad.

We may suspend or block access for conduct that violates these Terms or threatens the Website or other users.

  • You must provide accurate contact information and use opt-in consent where required;
  • You may unsubscribe from email at any time via the link in our messages or by contacting us;

Providing an email to save calculator results or receive updates does not obligate us to provide ongoing support or individualized immigration guidance.

  • “Canada Abroad” and related marks are the property of their respective owners. IRCC and Government of Canada materials remain subject to their own terms where applicable.

If you submit comments or other content to the Website, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display, moderate, and store that content in connection with operating the Website. You represent that your content is lawful and does not infringe third-party rights. We may remove content at our discretion.

9. Third-party links and services

The Website contains links to third-party websites and services (including Canada Abroad and government sites). We do not control and are not responsible for third-party content, policies, or practices. Accessing third-party sites is at your own risk.

10. Disclaimer of warranties

THE WEBSITE AND ALL TOOLS ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT, TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.

We do not warrant that the Website will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or free of harmful components.

11. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IMMIGRATION TOOLS AND ITS OWNERS, EMPLOYEES, CONTRACTORS, AND AFFILIATES SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, GOODWILL, IMMIGRATION OPPORTUNITIES, OR APPLICATION OUTCOMES, ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE WEBSITE, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF THESE TERMS OR THE WEBSITE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM, OR (B) ONE HUNDRED CANADIAN DOLLARS (CAD $100), IF YOU HAVE NOT PAID US ANY FEES.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in those cases, our liability is limited to the fullest extent permitted by law.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Immigration Tools and its personnel from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Website, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party rights.

These Terms are governed by the laws of Canada and the laws of the Province of Ontario, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. You agree that disputes shall be brought in the courts located in Ontario, Canada, unless applicable consumer protection law requires otherwise in your jurisdiction.
